Captured Robin - A Neck Piece Fit for a Fairy

This is my third entry for the Art Bead Scene challenge this month.
The focal pendant is my art bead, made with my own mold described in this post.

It is made of polymer clay attached to a silver-plated bail and glowing with a surface treatment of gold and silver acrylic.  The wire work is a mix of burgundy, silver and gold wire twisted into loops and adorned with a mix of vintage, glass and semi-precious beads as well.

My design is an attempt to highlight but not overpower the focal bead.  I tried to keep the wire work asymmetrical and yet cohesive and balanced.

  1. I agree! This one is definitely my favorite. I love the way the focal has images straight from the inspiration and the colors and placement of beads are divine. Thank you for sharing your inspiration behind the piece. That is fascinating!
    Enjoy the day!
